I have over twenty years of historical research experience, working across different roles in museums as well as in freelance roles. My curatorial research has focussed predominantly on Egyptology and the history of museum collections and collectors. I have spent many years investigating provenance of artworks in Glasgow Museums covering both WW2 and colonial-era issues across all collection areas. This proactive provenance research has allowed me to identify potential spoliation issues in UK National Museum collections and other institutions in UK and internationally.
I currently also undertake provenance research in a freelance capacity for museums and private individuals.
